Darling in a dress | Lifestyle blog

If you haven't been to Palm Springs yet, I cannot recommend it enough. Palm Springs is an ideal place to getaway form your everyday routine and just relax. Chill by the pool, sunbathe and chill by the pool again. And if you get bored from that (I doubt it tho) head downtown and do some shopping at the cute little stores, or check out all the beautiful houses of Palm Springs. Ok that's all I have to say in terms of what you should do. There are far too many guides (I like this) and lists you can find online, so I won't bother.

As for me, we tried to do a little bit of everything without exhausting ourselves.
Stay:
Saguaro Hotel (reasonably priced compared to other boutique hotels, awesome pool, amazing service, highly recommend)
Ace Hotel pool is publicly accessible so you can check out their pool too.
Food:
Honestly you can't go wrong with food choices here. All of them are good!
To do:
Drive by/bike through all the beautiful houses. There is a list of houses with maps out there but tbh i thought even some rando houses were cute too. You don't need a map, just be a lil adventurous but don't disturb the tenants.

For all I know, I'm already checking cheap flights from SF to come spend a weekend here. It is that relaxing.

Who doesn't like ice cream, right?
Yes, i know this is not ice cream I'm holding
Last week I visited the wildly popular MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM. When I heard they're opening in San Francisco, I knew I had to go. So what is this place, you might be wondering right?
It's a pop up exhibition of art installations. There's a lot of opinions out there about the legitimacy of it as a museum, or some are saying it's just stupid etc, but for me I'm on the side with the other folks. It's a ridiculously entertaining place to go have fun with friends, have some ice cream, maybe even get inspired, and get some freakin cute pics for your gram. There I said it.
This place screams PINK and MILLENIALS, also MILLENIAL PINK. San Francisco tickets are already sold out but they're now opening in Miami in the spring. There's about 10 or so rooms that are unique and have it's own thing going on, like sprinkle pool, gummy bear land etc.
My favorites were the disco ball hideout and the swings.
I took so many pictures I'd ridiculous.

I'm back to blogging guys! As some of you know, I've been so busy last few months going to a coding bootcamp and deserted my blog. My hosting service expired and my blog got deleted :/ So now that I'm done with my program and looking for a job, I thought I'd come back, blog here and there to keep my sanity and stay creative.

Summer is officially in full swing, which means it's time to wear dresses. Right? Also since my blog is titled 'Darling in a dress', thought it'd be appropriate to restart my blog with a lookbook on dresses.
Here I've put together my take on the latest dress trends to wear for the summer. Weather in the bay area has been quite warm for June, so I've been wearing them a lot since I got them. Ok here we go.

LOOK 1. BOHEMIAN
/for when you're going for a weekend stroll/
Dress
A wide brim hat, aviator sunglasses and some cute sandals completes this look.

LOOK 2. FLORAL
/for when you're going on date/

Dress

It's rare for me to wear floral dresses, but kinda liked this one. Threw on a boyfriend denim jacket to make it more casual, and comfortable.

Look 3. OFF-SHOULDER
/for when you're going to a wedding or wine tasting perhaps/

Dress
This polka dot off-shoulder dress makes me think of Italy. Don't know why, I can just imagine myself strolling around town with some ballet flats, and this dress. A girl can daydream, yea.
